Weekly Reset

Steady your mind before the week begins.

Lord,

Slow my impulse to reach for what is failing and falling.
Keep my soul from rushing toward what isn’t mine.
I have stepped in and rescued for years.
I am programmed to prepare for every good thing I love to break apart,
because it has in the past.

Scanning every environment has become my safety net —
not because of discernment,
but because of the fear of being blindsided.

Break that reflex.

When I start to move toward being the stabilizer I was never assigned,
put a gap between me and it.

When mimicked energy feels holy,
reveal what is actually mine to respond to —
by giving me the courage to stay still
until Your will is identified.

Let instinct fall away.
Let instruction lead.

Amen.

“In quietness and trust shall be your strength.”

-Isaiah 30:15

Clarity Questions

  • Does this responsibility come with grace — or pressure?

  • Am I stepping in because I don’t trust others to handle the outcome?

  • If I weren’t afraid of being blindsided, would I still move toward this?
